One of my undeniable sweet spots in photographing is getting to do photo shoots that combine kids + the outdoors + a great team behind the scenes, so when Visit Cook County approached me about creating an image library of fun winter images for them I was ecstatic to dive in and highlight some of the winter adventures to be had in the north land.
We started at the beautiful Bearskin Lodge, which to my delight had zero wifi and provided a perfect reminder to slow down, take in the surrounding nature and connect with everyone in real time, even while on a shoot.
Then we jumped over to a location a little bit closer to Lake Superior for some super fun sledding + snow in a perfectly-timed blizzard.
